Description

Don't repost or use my art in any way.

I did this poll a while back-->dae-thalin.deviantart.com/jour… where I asked which of my old works should get a remake.
These ended up being the winner:
Spirit of wind MIssingo by Dae-Thalin Northwind Missingo by Dae-Thalin (the newer one of these is basically just a remake as well)

No moon this time, I wanted to create a colder and more desolate atmosphere. When I think of ice and the regions on the northern end of a planet, I think of sollitude, so I tried to convey that through an empty black sky with just a few distant stars showing. The ground is supposed to be a shockfrozen ocean.
Missingo himself is one of my oldest characters and it was kinda fun to draw him again although I don't feel as connected to him anymore as I once did when he was my sona. Still love drawing these blues though~

I like the way you added the materials you used to recreate this masterpiece.
Body is so finely detailed, lights from the breath of the beast is so well done (have to admit, even I cannot do such an effect, maybe give a tutorial about it? Or keep it a secret?)

Any and all form of negativity would be due to taste and style, which would not be you to blame for as this is your way of interpreting ice and space. Understanding that this image requires solitude yet in future, maybe add life by adding color. Space in art and real life may seem dull at first but is literally exploding with color.

Using cold colors really strengthens the feeling of the arctic atmosphere and isolation. Too bad you lost touch of you friend but it is not a negative thing, this way you can relearn your friend and thus get a new angle on him or her (Had gender mix ups before so I am just being diplomatic). If you had kept a journal about this creature before, don't read it yet! Instead write what you remember and what you think has changed, then read how it was in the past.

Good body form and shading and actually reminds me of an old friend I draw myself. She too lives in cold areas, I have known her for years and always heeded her guidance and wisdom.

EXCELLENT work!
