Wheeee, I'm finally done!

I started this sometime during October but put it on hiatus due to Commissions, Raffles and later exams. But I really felt like doing something with Polychromos and Copics again after all the digital stuff these last days and the monochrome sketches.

The picture is actually a remake of this one here from May 2008:
Krytery, god of water by Dae-Thalin
I like doing these pictures with background the most, since only these pictures really feel "complete" to me. Also, Krytery really needed a new full picture after I haven't drawn him for so many years and he finally found a proper place in one of my stories.

I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out, although I think that I kind of overdid it with the detailing...

My first impression of this piece is truly stunning. The amount of detail in this is amazing. The dragon is truly break taking. The gleam on the scales gives it a clean and shiny look. The blue stones on the dragon's neck beautifully reflect light. The waves looks realistic and are outstandingly detailed. The white on the top does a beautiful job of reflecting the light. The clouds look realistic, I almost feel like I'm outside looking at dark storm clouds about to roll in. The smaller moon is not perfectly circular, which makes it seem more realistic, since as much as we may want to think celestial bodies are not perfectly circular. The bigger moon has an outstanding amount of detail and is truly breath taking. But it does not distract from the focus of the piece, which is the dragon. This is a truly beautiful piece that leaves a lasting image that you'll never forget.
